International Day of the Book: Solidarity Campaign “1 euro, a book”

On April 23 we celebrate “International Day of the Book” at school, so named as you know, because this day commemorates the anniversary of the death of three great figures in the world Literature: The Peruvian Garcilaso de la Vega, “The Inca”, The British William Shakespeare and the illustrious Spanish Miguel de Cervantes.

Students of 3rd of secondary, in the subject Education for Citizenship and Human Rights and through their association, +justice –avarice, proposed to carry out a solidarity campaign “1 euro, a book”. As in previous years, the students were proposed to bring a book or two, depending on their age, which were in good condition. With them, an exhibition was prepared in the library in which each student, with the contribution of 1 euro, could chose one of the books on display.

JES students showed and explained the video you can see at the end of this post. At the end of act, two primary school pupils handed the money raised to the President of the Association.

I appreciate you finding the time and energy to
put this article together. I once again find myself spending way too
much time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still
    worthwhile!
